Self Help for Wellbeing

This guide aims to provide a list of books and online resources that can help you. They have been recommended by librarians, counsellors and other professional support staff working for Heriot-Watt University.

These resources are intended to complement the support that is available at each campus for staff and students:

  • Students, please see the Health and Wellbeing pages for guidance on what is available at your campus.
  • Staff, please visit the HR Your Wellbeing Hub on SharePoint (HWU username and password required)

This list is not exhaustive and there may be other resources you would find useful. If there are any items you think should be added to the list, please fill in the Book Request form.

A list of useful mobile apps is also available from the Student Wellbeing website.

If you have any suggestions for resources that can be added to this site, please let us know at
