You could try searching trade publications in Discovery: articles about new factories often include useful information about how much they cost. A plant cost index can then be used to adjust these values to the present day.
Google's shopping page provides costs and suppliers of some industrial equipment. Some students have found that alibaba.com also provides useful pricing information, but you may wish to discuss whether you can use data from this site with your tutor.
Buyer's Guides help you search for suppliers of products. They'll usually take you to the website of the supplier, where you can look to see if there are prices available online.
