EGIS PhD Database

Use the EGIS PhD thesis search tool to search for EGIS PhD theses (IPE and Life Sciences are not part of this service).

(Note: For off-campus access see instructions opposite). 

  • Log in using your Heriot-Watt student username and password (as used for the student portal, email and Vision). 
  • Search by author surname, title, notes (this includes supervisor), and keyword.
  • Matching records will display on screen.

Full text copies are not available via this service, but from 2009 onwards, may be available through:

Paper copies may be available to borrow from the Resource Centre or from the University Library.

Off campus access

For off-campus access you must first log-in via Keyserver:

Keyserver requires requires multi-factor authentication (MFA).  See the link below for further instructions (note, you have to have the App for Keyserver to work).

Once you have set up MFA, you can then access Keyserver using the link below:

Note: use your full email address to sign in e.g. [abc123@hw.ac.uk]

Once you have logged into an on-campus PC using Keyserver, then you can search EGIS dissertations using the link below:
